Lust Hotel of October 2021 Essenza Sardegna
If you can’t tell as yet, I am a big fan of Italy (here, here and here) and one year I’d love to spend a 2 months living and travelling around Italy. Where would you like to go for a couple months? Anyway, I stumbled across Essenza Sardegna and I so want to spend a couple of nights there. It’s in the middle of the Tepilora Natural Park, a 30 minute drive from Olbia airport, is the only UNESCO reserve in Sardinia. Instead of a massive sprawling hotel with a ton of rooms, you have 4 wooden and stone circular huts or pinettos. Essenza was born from the passion and desire of Marina Denti who wanted a place to combine her love of nature, simplicity and connection.
Hotel and Amenities
One of the beautiful things about Essenza is that there are mountains, valleys, rivers, lakes and the sea. Basically, there’s an outdoor experience for everyone. You can explore the reserve on horseback, by boat or even kayak. After a day of swimming in the sea or horseback riding through the mountains, you can book yourself in for a massage. There’s also yoga and meditation sessions. This is the place you’d want to go to disconnect and reconnect with yourself. They’re big on sustainability which isn’t a surprise given it’s on a reserve. So no single use plastic items and waste is recycled.
Let’s talk about the pinettos of which there are only 4 of them and each has its own name. They’re named after essential oils: Myrtle, Juniper, Lavender and Helicrysum. Each room is painted in the colour to represent their essential oil. Oh and don’t think that because it’s a nature reserve that there isn’t modern conveniences. All the rooms have their own private bathroom with shower, fridge, airconditioning, parking and private entrance. Essentially, you there’s no need to see any of the guests if you don’t want to.
I had a look at the prices and was expecting it to be really pricey but, depending on when you go, you’re looking at £100 per night. I am a big fan of booking.com when you sign up, you can get even more discounts.
I’d love to know what you think about lust hotel of October 2021 Essenza Sardegna. Would you book a couple nights there and who would you take with you? Let me know in the comments.
As always, thank you for reading and until next time, be well! x
