3 Reasons Valencia Makes the Perfect City Break- streetart

Street Art

So I didn’t do a lot of research into Valencia prior to hopping on my flight. It was one of those spontaneous trips where the flights were cheap on Easyjet and I found a great deal on *Booking.com. Anyway, one of the things I found out was that there’s a lot of street art in Valencia. Check out the few I saw dotted around.

Food

You learn so much about a place through the food and drink served. I went to a couple of restaurants that I dined at and thoroughly enjoyed myself. My favourite was a place called Tarin’s. It has a basement vibe and freshly prepared dishes.

However, the best place I found for food and drink is inside the Central Market. Mercado Central is one of the oldest functioning markets in Europe and it’s a treat for your senses.

You could stroll around the market for hours and be tempted by what’s on offer. Easy to see why it’s part of this 3 reasons Valencia makes the perfect city break guide.

Architecture

The final reason to visit Valencia for a city break is to see the architecture. From the churches to regular buildings, the intricate designs and colours are simply beautiful. Even the ceiling inside the Central Market is gorgeous.

I had a lovely time strolling through the streets of Valencia solo. It was warmer than when I left the UK, along with blue skies. In case you were wondering, I didn’t feel unsafe even coming back from dinner in the evening.

Hopefully, this little guide containing 3 reasons Valencia is the perfect city break inspires you to book a little trip there.

Thank you for reading and let me know if you’ve been to Valencia before. What was your favourite thing?

Until next time, be well! x
