my 2025 wanderlust list - majeang.com

Hello you beautiful travel bunnies! How have you been? But more importantly, where have you been? I do one of these every year and this year is no exception. Welcome to my 2025 wanderlust list! Hopefully, you take some travel inspiration and book that trip! We’ve got 10 on the list, some new and some repeats, let’s go!

My 2025 Wanderlust List

Iceland

I visited Iceland February 2020 and because of some bad weather, I wasn’t able to do a few things and vowed to return. We all know what happened that year so I’ve firmly put this back on my wanderlust list. I really would like to see the Golden Circle and of course return to the Blue Lagoon. Iceland is unlike any place I’ve visited thus far and it’s just such a peaceful yet vibrant place. Is Iceland on your wanderlust list?

Oslo

I’ve visited Norway before but went to Bergen and did the world’s most beautiful train ride. Was it the most beautiful train ride? Well, I haven’t done all the train rides in the world, yet but it is certainly at the top of my list. When I next visit, I’d like to see Oslo and maybe do the train ride in a different season. It’s amazing how a place changes with the weather. Plus, I’d like to visit the Viking Museum and Vippa, which is an industrial food court with an eclectic mix of food. Also, there’s a floating sauna called KOK where you get stunning views whilst getting the health benefits of the sauna.

Brazil

Moving to warmer climates we have Brazil on the list. I think I’ve had this on my wanderlust list before but so far, it hasn’t materialised. But, there are still 11 months of the year left so who knows what may happen. Like most people, I’d love to visit Rio for the beaches, maybe take a samba class or 2 and visit Christ the Redeemer statue.

Costa Rica

Sticking to South America, Costa Rica is on my list as well. Between the volcanoes, hot springs, waterfalls, rainforests, beaches and national parks is it any wonder it’s on my list! There’s a lot to see and do whilst there. Plus, my Manager went and came back with amazing stories about her trip. So it’s firmly on the wanderlust list!

Thailand

Moving on to Asia we have Thailand. Now I’ve been to Bangkok before and it was a nice trip but I didn’t visit any of the islands. So when the opportunity arises for me to book a trip to Thailand, best believe that I will be visiting at least 2-3 islands. Because really, I will always be an island girl despite knowing how to ride the tube like a pro.

Cambodia

Since I’m in Thailand, I may as well zip across to Cambodia and have peek. When I think of Cambodia it gives me opulent old meets new vibes with Angor Wat and the Royal Palace. Plus, there’s the food, which is similar to Thai but has it’s own distinct dishes and flavours! I’m pretty adventurous with trying new food so it would be really fun to try Cambodian food.

Budapest

Something a bit closer to the UK and we have Budapest. The capital of Hungary is bisected by the River Danube and it has the Széchenyi Baths which has saunas, pools and a whirlpool. I’m getting relaxed just thinking about it. I think this would be a nice weekend break to have something to look forward to at the end of a hard work week.

Dubrovnik

I kept seeing Dubrovnik on social media and promptly added it to my wanderlust list. It gives Medieval history meets breezy Mediterranean vibes. The Dubrovnik wall that you can walk along and get a feel for how it was back in medieval times. There’s also the Dubrovnik cable car to take in the views of the city from above which I’m a fan of. And if that wasn’t enough, you could take the ferry to the car-free island, Lopud and relax on Sunj beach. I think that’s my late summer break sorted if you ask me.

Oman

Since hearing about Oman, I’ve been intrigued by this Middle Eastern country. Similar vibes to Dubai but understated with hidden gems. The country is a mix of desert, mountain, sinkholes and safari. With places like Salalah for the beaches or a day trip to the Bimmah Sinkhole. Who knew there were sinkholes in the Middle East! Oman is on my wanderlust, how about you? Do you think it would be a place you’d like to visit?

Morocco

Finally, this country has been on my wanderlust for quite some time and I think 2025 will be the year I tick off at least one of the cities. The Riads, Markets, the food and the desert all appeal to me. There’s so much to do there including hot air balloon rides at sunrise, a camel ride in the desert and a bit of shopping!

So these are the 10 countries on my 2025 wanderlust list and hopefully it’s given you some travel inspo. Have you made your 2025 wanderlust list as yet? Tell me where you’re planning to go in the comments below. As always, thanks for reading and until next time, be well! X
