Hello again beautiful! How are you? It’s been a bit of a wash out weather wise this summer in the UK. However, that shouldn’t stop you or me from enjoying the slightly warmer weather and longer days. So here are 5 more things you can do for summer in the UK. If you missed the first 6 just click here.
5 More Things You Can do for Summer in the UK
Let me first say that I’m a bit of a bargain hunter and am always on the look out for things I can do but for less. I am a big fan of the Fever App. No I’m not sponsored by them, but wish I was! I have just had good experiences with them. These are a few I’ve seen that have me wanting to book and I hope they give you some inspiration. Oh and if you don’t have someone to go with, please just try going solo. It will be a different experience if you open yourself to it.
Now who doesn’t love an afternoon tea? A bit of sweet, a bit of savoury with some tea or, champagne or, cocktails. I enjoy a bit of bouji luxury for a couple hours and maybe you might enjoy these. First we have the French Brasserie Afternoon Tea at the Camden Social all for £35. Or you may enjoy some cute looking cocktails at the That’s So Fetch afternoon tea for £42. There’s also the Asian and Tapas afternoon tea from Inamo for £19.95 which I’ve been to and can confirm that it’s really good! It’s different to the traditional afternoon tea but really enjoyable.
Brunch is its own category of food; a mixture of breakfast food and lunch food. What’s even better is if there’s entertainment and bottomless drinks. There’s a plethora of options from comedy to disco to live dj’s. Something for everyone! A few that caught my eye; Brunch Away with the Circus, Reggae Brunch and Afrobeats n Brunch. There are alot of options so if those aren’t for you, simply search for brunch and you will find something you like.
Floating Jazz Club
Do you enjoy a bit of jazz and love being on the water? How about jazz on the Thames? Fever has tickets to a night of jazz on the Bateaux London. There’ll be jazz, views of London and cocktails to be had. Tickets are from £30 per person and if you feel to take yourself out for an evening, this would be a unique experience. Either on your own or with friends. Click to book here.
If being on the water isn’t your thing but you love a bit of Aretha Franklin. There’s a tribute in August for the Queen of Soul which will only set you back £15!
Sunset Steam Experience
Ever wanted to live out that fantasy of travelling and dining on the Orient Express? Yeah me too until I saw the cost! So to appease my dream of living out my Miss Marple fantasy, there’s the Sunset Steam Express. Now on the fever app you can purchase a ticket for £139 which includes the train and a 3 course meal plus nibbles. Or you can simply purchase a standard class ticket for £59 from the website directly here. There’s also mention of being able to take your own picnic onboard or, purchasing your meal separately on the train. You depart London Victoria station at 18.15 and return around 21.15.
I’m back on the water but instead of jazz and cocktails, we have a speedboat ride on the Thames. You leave the Millennium Pier at 8pm and taken on a ride to see the setting sun and lights of London town. If boats and speed aren’t your thing, you may want to give this a miss. Tickets are around £45 and you get a drink after to finish off the trip. Click here to book.
These are my 5 more things you can do for summer in the UK using the Fever App. Have you purchased tickets or experiences before via the app? What was your experience like? Also, what experience from the list would you like to try? Leave me a comment and please remember to subscribe for the monthly newsletter. I will be sharing more activities for August and September!
