Ultimate Starter Kit from Alpha-H Review

Ultimate kit from Alpha-h review

Hello beautiful people! If you’re a skincare junkie, this blog post is for you! Or, if you’re dipping your toes into the skincare realm, this is also for you. I did a poll a couple months ago on my Instagram and Alpha-H was a brand I was asked to review. So here’s the ultimate starter kit from Alpha-H review.

Ultimate Starter Kit from Alpha-H Review

Introduction

I’ve dabbled in a few products from Alpha-H over the years. I like this Australian brand’s ethos which is about sustainability and combining science with botanicals. Essentially, they’re about a product performing well for a person and they’re very results driven. Their liquid gold is a cult product and with good reason. It gives your skin that chemical exfoliation, without stripping it. However, I decided to trial a few products new to me. The ultimate starter kit allows you to try 5 products to see what works for you. The sizes have sufficient product so you get to really see and experience the effects to your skin.

Ultimate starter kit from Alpha-h review - products

Products

I ordered the Triple Action Cleanser, Absolute Eye Complex, Vitamin C, Liquid Gold 24 hour moisture repair cream and the Protection Plus Daily Spf 50+. Together, they cost £35.95 and come beautifully packaged in a box. I thought that was a nice touch.

Triple Action Cleanser

I really want to like this cleanser but it doesn’t lather. I have realised that I need a little bit of lather to enjoy my face cleansing experience. However, putting that aside, it’s not a bad cleanser. I had no irritation on my cheeks, which can be sensitive. There were a couple times my skin felt a bit dry but, it could be due to the tretinoin. Speaking of which, it was great to use before I applied tretinoin at night. There are no actives in it so my skin is calm and ready for it.

Score: 3/5; Individual price £25/185ml and can be purchased here.

Ultimate starter kit from Alpha-h review - eye gel

Absolute Eye Complex

This is an eye gel consistency which I liked. Its meant to resurface, lift and plump the eye area. With niacinamide, vitamin B5, hibiscus flower and cucumber these were ingredients that could deliver. I used this product for about 2 weeks and noticed a difference which was exciting. That is until the skin in my under eye area decided to throw a tantrum. That area can be a bit sensitive so I reduced usage and forgot alot of the times. I will persevere because it’s a great product.

Score: 4/5; Individual price: £36.50/15ml and you can purchase here.

Ultimate starter kit from Alpha-h review - vitamin c

Vitamin C

If you read my Medik8 review, you would know I’m a fan of their vitamin C and I hoped this would be the same. It contains grape seed and antioxidants to hydrate, brighten and help with redness. The formula is light and doesn’t have the slight oily texture as the Medik8 one. I would say this isn’t my favourite vitamin C and it might be that I need something a bit stronger. I didn’t notice a drastic difference but, I will say there was no irritation which was great!

Score: 3.5/5; Individual cost: £35/25ml and you can purchase here.

Ultimate starter kit from Alpha-h review- repair cream

Liquid Gold 24 hour Moisture Repair Cream

I will say it, I love this product! It’s hydrating, moisturising and when my skin is having a moment with the cold weather, this calms it all down. There’s 5% glycolic acid and argan stem cells. If you’ve used argan oil before then you’re familiar with all the goodness it can do for your skin and hair. There is a slight tacky feel to this but once I apply an oil to seal everything in, it dissipates. I only wish it wasn’t the most expensive product that I tried but, sometimes you gotta spend for the quality.

Score: 4.5/5; Individual cost: £51/50ml and it can be purchased here.

Ultimate starter kit from Alpha-h review- spf

Protection Plus Daily Spf 50+

The final product in this review, is a favourite! End on a high :). First off, this is a multipurpose product. It’s a moisturiser and a broad spectrum spf. You can also use it as a primer before applying your makeup. This is the kind of product that I would travel with. Oh and to my melanated beauties, there is no casper the ghost cast when you apply it. I know! It’s slightly tinted and it blends right into your skin. There’s no colour left on your skin so you’re good to go.

Score: 5/5: Individual cost: £23/30ml; £36.95/50ml and you can purchase here
