5 Skincare Items You Need for Your Solo Trip

Hello my skincare junkies how is your skin doing? Mine is having a moment, but we move. Although I’m not going on a summer holiday this year, I wanted to share 5 skincare items you need for your solo trip. These items are my holy grail especially for long haul trips.

5 Skincare Items you Need for Your Solo Trip

Cream Mist

I first discovered the Ceramidin Cream Mist by Dr Jart through Caroline Hirons. She suggested it during one of her insta lives for those of us experiencing dryness during quarantine. To say it has been a blessing is an understatement. There are 5 types of ceramides which aid in skin repair and hydration.

This is perfect for flights where your skin will dry out because of the recycled air. It comes in 50ml so its within the hand luggage liquid allowance. It’s also pretty affordable, at under £15.

Summer Fridays Jetlag Mask

I saw the hype around this mask and waited a bit before deciding to purchase it. Plus, I was encouraged with some money off ;). Anyway, this mask promised to hydrate, soothe skin, help with inflammation because of the niacinamide and more.

After using it on my last long haul flight, which feels like a lifetime ago, I was impressed! I used it as an overnight mask on the flight and after I landed. My skin felt hydrated and dare I say, it had a bit of a glow! It’s also a multipurpose product because you can use it as a hydrating primer. There are 2 sizes but I went for the smaller size and it’s lasting!

Dr Dennis Gross Alpha Pads

I wrote about this recently and won’t go into it too much. But, these are great to travel with especially if you have dry skin that needs to be exfoliated. Pop a few into your toiletry bag and use as and when.

Nuxe Multipurpose Dry Oil

This oil had to be included on this list of 5 skincare items you need on your solo trip. There’s so much you can do with it that if you forgot your body lotion, face moisturiser and hair oil. But you had this, you’re good!

It’s also really good when mixed with your body lotion to give that extra moisture. Especially around your ankles, elbows and knees. Basically, anywhere that looks ashy. There are 3 different versions of this oil so you have some choice. Or, just buy all 3! If you’re in France, this is something I would recommend that you stock up on.

Zelens Vitamin D Oil

Another recommendation from The Hirons. Let me say that this is an expensive product but, worth it. Sometimes your skin can have a moment when you’re travelling. It could be too dry, might break out or a bit of dermatitis. This is good at keeping things at bay.

It contains vitamin D (obviously) and hyaluronic acid. All the good stuff to help skin regenerate, stay hydrated and repair. It’s a treatment oil that you only need to use when you need it. A little goes a long way which takes the sting out of the price.

These are the 5 skincare items you need for your solo trip. I’ve missed out sunscreen because to me it’s standard like, breathing. Anyway, what are your favourite must haves when you’re travelling?
