Hello my lovely travel giraffes. Today’s blog is heavy with photographs. I’m sharing some photos of my recent trip to Iceland. Hope you enjoy my photo diary of Iceland.
Photo Diary of Iceland
The Blue Lagoon
You know those photos you see on the internet about the Blue Lagoon? Yup that’s exactly what it looks like in real life.
I visited both at night and daytime. If you’d like to see the night time views in action, you can check out my IGTV on the Blue Lagoon. I will share with you in another post some tips on how to have an enjoyable time at the lagoon.
Reykjavik
In this photo diary of Iceland, there are a number of photos of Reykjavik. It’s filled with an interesting landscape and architecture.
The view from the top of Iceland Church is absolutely breathtaking! Best bit is there’s a lift that can take you most of the way.
Northern Lights
If you read my latest travel bucketlist, you would have seen that visiting Iceland was on there. One of the main reasons was so I could see the Aurora Borealis and we had perfect conditions to see it. Except, the moon wanted to be the star that night.
Yes that’s a photo of the moon and not the sun. Apparently it was a super moon which looks like a sunset instead of a moon rise. I can go more into depth about my Northern lights experience, let me know in the comments if you’d like that.
Iceland is a weirdly wonderful place that is filled with natural wonders. It is hella expensive but it is worth it! Hope you enjoyed checking out my photo diary of Iceland.
Have you been before? What did you think? Did you see the Northern lights?
Thank you for reading and until next time, be well!x
