3 Amazing reasons to use airport lounges-Jolly Beach Antigua

Hey travel junkies! I have spoken about airport lounges before (here and here) but, never fully explained the benefits before. Today’s post I’m sharing 3 amazing reasons to use airport lounges.

3 Amazing Reasons to Use Airport Lounges

Refreshments

I don’t know about you but, I always need to grab a bite to eat at the airport. After I get through airport security and check the departures board, I head straight to the airport lounge and get myself something to eat. Food varies from lounge to lounge but I’ve always managed to get something delicious to eat and drink.

Comfortable Surroundings

The next amazing reason to use airport lounges are down to the comfortable surroundings. I had a massive delay on a trip back from Trinidad and the airport lounge saved me! I was able to sink into one of the comfy chairs and have a nap. Some lounges have a quiet area where you can lay down and relax. You need to keep an eye on the time because you can loose track of time because you’re so relaxed! It’s a great way to unwind from the hectic journey to the airport and gets you ready for the flight.

The Facilities

Final on this 3 amazing reasons to use airport lounges are the facilities. Getting to the airport and through airport security can be a stressful process. Even more stressful if your flight is delayed or your connecting flight is hours away. With that in mind, it’s really nice to be able to have a comfortable place to go and catch up on emails or phone calls. It’s especially great if there’s a shower in the lounge. Some lounges also have a luggage storage facility at your disposal. This saves you from having to carry your hand luggage whilst you’re doing a bit of duty free shopping.

It may seem like a luxury to have a membership to airport lounges but it isn’t. If you travel at least more than 3 times a year, it is worth it and you suddenly realise that it’s a necessity instead of a luxury. Let me know what your thoughts are on airport lounges.
