I signed up for classpass end of January 2025 on their £1 a month trial offer. As you know, I workout at home using the Centr App which I love and sometimes it’s nice to workout with others. I’d wanted to get back into reformer pilates and just group classes. I was into mat and reformer pilates before it became the craze it is now. Has anyone heard of Winsor Pilates? Also, Here’s my review on Classpass.
My Review on Classpass
Credits
When you take up the trial you are allocated 52 credits. Credits are basically how you ‘pay’ for the class. Each class type, time and studio have a different cost. So for instance a reformer pilates class at 6.30am outside of Central London might cost you 9 credits or 6. When you’re on a plan, unused credits can rollover which is a plus. Also, you can top up your credits if you have insufficient for a class.
How the Trial Went
During the trial you don’t have access to spas or those type of treatments which I think is fair. What I wasn’t a fan of is, you couldn’t book the same studio for a different time or class. I understand trying different studios to get a feel for the place and teachers. However, if a particular studio has the time you want and a new class you’d like to try you can’t if you’ve visited it before. Because of this I wasn’t able to use all my credits. Apart from reformer pilates I went to Cuban salsa class which was alot of fun! A class I will be repeating.
The Verdict
So the question is would I sign up to pay for it? Yes I in fact did! I signed up for their lowest level which is 9 credits for £15 a month and if I don’t use all in that month, they roll over. In the trial, the credits don’t rollover. I would say classpass needs another level between the lower level and 2nd one up which is 31 credits for £45! That’s a massive jump and realistically should be somewhere around the £25 range for 15 credits or something like that!
Final Thoughts
I like it because of the variety and booking a class is easy via the app. You can cancel easily if something has come up, once you do it in time. Do be mindful of that. Also, if you refer someone and they join they get 20 bonus credits and you get £20. A friend joined via my referral but I haven’t seen the £20 yet. I’m not sure if I will continue long-term but we shall see if it’s economical for me.
This is my review on Classpass and I’d love to know if you’ve tried classpass before? Let me know what you think about it? Oh and that referral link i mentioned, it’s here. Even if I don’t get anything you’d get the 20 extra credits to try something new that makes you feel good. A win in my book!
Thanks for reading and until next time, be well! X
