7 Micro Health Habits That I Find Useful

Hello beautiful people! Can you believe we’re almost at the end of February? Hopefully, this means spring is coming because I’m over the cold, grey and bleak weather. Aren’t you? Anyways, back to today’s blog post I’m sharing the 7 micro health habits that I find useful. Hopefully, you would find them useful too.

7 Micro Health Habits That I Findn Useful

Water Bottle

First things first, we all need to drink more water because being a soggy dehydrated mess is not cute. So to keep my goal of drinking 2-3 litres of water a day, I start first thing in the morning. I fill a bottle of water before bed and leave it on my bedside table. When I wake up in the morning I grab the bottle and drink as much as I could whilst praying and finishing my gratitude journal for that day. By the time it’s time for me to workout, I’d have done at least 1/2 litre. Do you drink enough water?

My Trainers

I leave my trainers near my bedroom door so when I’m finished with resistance training I can go for a quick 10 minutes walk/jog after. Or, for when I go for a 15-20 minutes brisk walk on my lunch break whilst working from home. Or, on the weekend when it’s not pouring with rain or wind, I’ll be walking or jogging, because I’m not a runner. But, this little micro habit helps with me looking after my health.

Dry Body Brushing

I’ve spoken about this time and time again but it’s something that really helps me. My hands and feet are always cold and dry body brushing has helped with that. I hang the body brush near the bathtub and use it before jumping into the shower. It takes me about 2 minutes which is enough time for the water to heat up. Do you do dry body brushing?

Subliminals

I was introduced to subliminals on Tiktok (where else?) but it wasn’t something I quickly delved into until I started working with Chloe from Vibe and Flow. I enrolled on her Self Image Manual programme and she included subliminals. They’re basically a short cut to helping you shift your mindset. It could be around your health, money, success etc. This doesn’t mean I suddenly wake up with the joys of spring doing cartwheels across the floor. No, but it does help me challenge negative thought patters in a much gentler yet effective way. If you decide you want to try subliminals, be sure it’s from someone you feel comfortable with. Or, perhaps good recommendations from people you know and trust.

Glycerin

Another thing that influenced me via Tiktok and I can’t say I’m mad at it. This micro health habit has my skin feeling soft and supple especially in the cold, cold, cold winter months. I decant a bottle in a much prettier bottle that sits on my bathtub ledge and as soon as I do my 10-20 second cold water to end my shower, I apply some glycerin on my skin. This holds in the hydration and preps my skin for body lotion. A little goes a long way and if you do try it, always on damp skin!

The Supplements

I take a few supplements because life lifes a lot and insomnia is really that girl that visits a little too often. It was getting frustrating with all the different packaging so I got the idea from my flatmate to get a pill organiser. Problem solved! The micro habit is that I refill this on a Sunday whilst watching YouTube. It’s become part of my Sunday routine that I don’t even need a reminder to refill my supplements. I got mine off Amazon for day, afternoon and night, 7 days a week.

Weekly Exercises

Finally, the last micro health habit I find helpful is to plan my weekly exercises. If you read my blog, you know I use the Centr app and workout from home, most times. I did do a Classpass trial for a month and I have some thoughts. Let me know in the comments if you’d like a review. Back to the weekly exercises, based upon my needs that I put in the app, it gives me daily exercises but, there’s also 4, 6, 8 and 14 week programmes. I can also switch the daily exercise depending on my energy levels and what I’d like to work on. Doing this on a Sunday helps me with decision fatigue. I don’t need to think about what exercise I want to do because it’s already there. A win in my book.

These are the 7 micro health habits that I find useful and hope it’s of use to you too. Let me know in the comments what’s 1 of your micro health habits that you swear by.

As always, thank you for reading and until next time be well! X
