Everyone wants to get fit, but few people really take the time to make it happen. They’d love to spend hours at the gym every night, but the realities of life make that type of lifestyle easier said than done. Fortunately, there is a range of fitness accessories that can assist you. They add convenience to your life and could help you transform your body and mental wellbeing in ways you never thought possible. Here are the fitness accessories that will save your life.

The Fitness Accessories that will Save your Life

Travel Yoga Mat

Nothing is more annoying than having nowhere to practise yoga when you travel. You arrive at a hotel room and all the floors are either tough carpet or tile, a nightmare for your knees. Travel yoga mats are great because they don’t weigh much and they fold up neatly (and not as a big long roll, like most conventional mats). When you arrive at your destination, simply unpack them and start practising yoga immediately. It also comes in handy if the hotel you’re staying at organises yoga on the beach.

TRX Trainer Kit

With the TRX Suspension Trainer kit, you can replace virtually the entire gym with a few straps and cables. First, you install the anchor frame which is usually a big metal rig. Then you attach the straps in various positions, adjusting the setup to your exercise needs. Then all you need to do is follow exercise instructions. There are dozens to choose from and it’s such an effective work with not alot of space required.

Adventurer Backpack

You may not think that having a backpack on hand would be one of the fitness accessories that will save your life. However, it is a great way to encourage yourself to get out into the great outdoors and explore your local nature trails. According to specialist Ecogear FX, backpacks should have water-repellent outer fabrics and plenty of zippered spaces for different items, including laptops. They should also feature external pockets, perfect for storing phones, keys, and any other items that you might need.

Foam Rollers

Getting fit can be fun, but it can also take its toll on your muscles. Muscle breakdown can make them exceptionally sore all over with recovery often taking several days. Foam rollers are a way to speed up this recovery process. Just roll them over your muscles to iron out lactic acid buildup and help nutrients enter the tissue. Foam rollers are inexpensive and extremely highly rated by people who train regularly. They’re also considerably cheaper than paying for regular massages.

Custom Trainers

While generic trainers are good, custom versions are considerably better. These provide plenty of support while molding to your feet, letting you use them all day without having to worry about blisters or injuries. I remember a friend of mine getting custom trainers for her workouts and she never looked back. They looked at the way she walked, determined her gait (the way she walked) and customised trainers specifically for her.

Touchscreen Winter Gloves

When the weather is cold outside, gloves are essential. However, so is using your phone. And usually, you can’t do both. With that said, there are now gloves that come with special electronic properties that let you continue using capacitive touch screens even while wearing them. Many designs let you keep using touch screens in below freezing temperatures.

Under-Desk Elliptical

Lastly, if you’re the sort of person who wants to keep their body moving while working, then an under-desk elliptical could be exactly what you need. These keep blood moving while you work, reducing the risks of a sedentary lifestyle. They became especially popular during lockdown so people could move whilst working.

These are some of the fitness accesssories that will save your life. I’d love to know what yours are in the comments below. Thank you for reading and until next time, be well! x
