Christmas 2021 Gift Guide for Skincare Junkies
Skincare Books
To start off we’re going in with books. Not just any books, these are books written by some heavy hitters in the skincare industry. I have 2 options for you.
First we have Skincare; the ultimate no-nonsense guide by Caroline Hirons. It’s perfect for the skincare junkie in your life who really wants to get to grips with their skincare routine. There’s an updated version out which you can purchase from Amazon *here.
Second, we have a friend of Caroline by the name of Dija Ayodele, who wrote, Black Skin; the definitive skincare guide for us melanated people. It’s filled with great advice that often times gets missed because of our skin tone. You can purchase a copy *here.
I should also mention that both books are currently under £20 so it’s in the affordable range for most.
Spa Day
If you have a larger sized budget then how about a spa day? It’s the kind of thing that is enjoyed by most peple. A day of pamper whilst pausing the things that are stressing you out to relax. I’m a fan of using Wowcher, Living Social, Groupon and Red Letter Days. They generally have a variety of options and your friend might take you along too! What’s your favourite spa treatment? I love a good full body massage!
Beauty Gift Sets
If you know the recipient well and the products they use, you could find gift them gift sets. Or, if you don’t then I would suggest the following brands: L’Occitane, a French skincare brand that has some pretty excellent gift sets especially if they love to travel. Fenty Skin is also another good one and I did a review on their starter kit, which you can read here. You can pick one up in Boots or online. Another brand that I’m a fan of is Ren Clean Skin who is one of the few skincare brands out there that are working to remove single use plastic from their packaging. You can read a review here. Finally, Caudalie which just sounds luxurious and is actually luxurious. They have a store in Covent Garden with a downstairs bit for treatments. You could pick up some items for your loved one and treat yourself too! A win win situation.
Gift Cards
My final Christmas gift idea is good old gift cards. To me you cannot go wrong and they would be able to use it towards something they really want. Selfridges gift cards are always a great option because there isn’t an expiry date and it can be used at any of the beauty brands. Alternatively, there’s Space NK who makes shopping for beauty an experience. Plus, there’s an option of an e-gift card if you are shopping last minute.
These are my christmas 2021 gift guide for skincare junkies. I didn’t want to fill it up with so many different things because I think that can be overwhelming for some. Keep it simple and personal to the person you’re shopping for. Let me know what’s on your beauty Christmas list.
Thanks for reading and come back tomorrow for the next gift guide! Until then, be well! x
