Well hello there stranger! It has been a hot minute and I won’t bore you in this post about why I was absent. I will fill you in, in my weekly newsletter so sign up to see what I’ve been up to. Anyways, today’s blog post is part 3 in my wedding series (read part 1 and part 2). It’s all about wedding guest outfit ideas.
Wedding Guest Outfit Ideas
Dressing for a wedding requires some careful consideration. You need to think about the location, weather, time of day and comfort. Think about it, what you would wear for a winter wedding differs from a summer wedding. I’ve got a few wedding guest outfit ideas that might work for you ;).
Perfect Wedding Guest dress
A dress is an easy choice but it doesn’t need to be boring. You could have vibrant colours, a particular cut or pattern.
I love greens and blues so these dresses are a no brainer for me. How about you? The pleated green dress is from Zara and costs £49.99. I think its perfect for a beach, garden or outdoor wedding. It’s lightweight fabric with a cut out back to keep you cool. If it gets chilly, you can throw on a blazer. Oh and it comes in pale yellow and coral. The second and third dresses are from the Lorna Luxe and In the Style latest collaboration. The print on the high neck swing dress is subtle yet effective. Style with muted silver or pewter strappy heels and bag to match. It goes up to a size 24 and costs £39.99. Finally, it’s the sage green with balloon sleeve dress which is so elegant yet sexy. The silhouette of this dress hugs you in all the right places and ruching hides areas you don’t want to show. Not bad for £31.99 which you can wear time and time again.
Jumpsuits for Weddings
I looked at a few jumpsuits and the one that stood out is this one from Zara.
The colour and minimalist style is perfect as wedding guest outfit. This is the kind of jumpsuit that you could wear time and time again. Either style with shoes similar to the model or, wear nude heels. Add some pearl jewellery and you’re good to go! This pale pink rustic jumpsuit has pockets and a tie belt to pull in your waist. Not a bad price of £49.99.
Wearing Tailored Suits as a Wedding Guest
Suits have made a come back with a vengence. I always think with tailoring that you need to find the right cut and fit. For instance, if you have broad shoulders avoid shoulder pads and double breasted blazers. That is unless you’re going for that look or, you’re wearing something on the bottom that’s wider to balance the look.
You would think I’m a big lover of pink with this suit however, it’s perfect. The lace overlay gives it a more formal look and you can wear it separately. Trousers are currently £30 in the sale (here) and the jacket is £38.50 (here) also in the sale.
So there you have it, my wedding guest outfit ideas. Let me know which is you favourite and how would you style it.
