Travelling the world is one of the greatest things that anyone can do. The fact that international travel has become accessible to alot more people over the years is a thing of beauty. It opens the door to a realm of new adventures and experiences. However, I can’t help but feel a little jealous of today’s generation as they are blessed with opportunities. It wasn’t that long ago, but things were a little different when I first started to travel. Here are five solutions I wish I knew about and now everyone can embrace them with open arms.
5 Travel Solutions I wish I knew About When I was Younger
Airbnb
There’s no doubt that finding the right accommodation is one of the biggest challenges facing any traveller. Airbnb and other short-term home rental services are simply incredible. They offer a chance to enjoy a little privacy and home comforts. Best of all, they are often located in very central areas, allowing you to gain the best locations at a fraction of the price. If you’re planning to take a city break, you’d be a fool not to look at the possibility of using this option.
Student Breaks
When you’re young, the opportunities to travel can be limited due to time and money. With a student travel company, colleges and universities can take group trips that are educationally beneficial. Best of all, they tend to be very well priced due to the group savings. On a similar note, volunteering holidays in which you can give something back to society are increasingly common now. Whilst they did exist a decade ago, the opportunities are far greater today.
Mystery Tours
Very few things in life can match the excitement of a holiday. However, the ability to throw the element of surprise into the mix takes those feelings to a whole new level. Mystery vacation companies let friends, families, and solo travellers embrace this opportunity. You choose the date of departure from a chosen list, and then discover your fate on the day. There is no better way to explore places that you might have usually ignored.
Music Festivals
Music festivals are a tradition that dates back to generations. Still, the idea of travelling to another country to watch your favourite singers and bands while enjoying a holiday is relatively new. The growth of budget airlines have played a significant role. In my opinion, this type of trip sounds a far better idea than the old type of 18-30 holidays. The opportunity to explore new lands and gain the once-in-a-lifetime gig experiences is a recipe for success.
Google Trips
OK, so this isn’t a type of holiday itself. However, I wish Google Trips had been around when I was younger. This is my number 5 in my 5 travel solutions I wish I knew about when I was younger. It’s true that a little spontaneity goes a long way on vacation. Still, having the maps, exchange rates, and reviews of what to do sitting in your pocket is amazing. Anyone that has been travelling for a few years will have experienced some poor adventures and missed out on great ones. Nowadays, the power of technology means this no longer has to be an issue.
That’s it for my 5 travel solutions I wish I knew about when I was younger. How about you? Have you tried any of these solutions before? Leave me a comment below.
