To me Sundays in autumn/winter are all about lazy, sometime boozy brunches. So when I heard about Coppacabana and their igloo pop up, I thought it was a perfect opportunity to spend Sunday at Tower Bridge.
Sunday at Tower Bridge
Nestled 5 mins walk from the entrance to Tower Bridge, Coppacabana set up their igloos which overlooks the Thames river, the bridge, the Shard and other iconic buildings. Getting a booking was next to impossible but they do reserve a certain number of spaces for walk-ins.
Arm in arm, my friend Lizzie and I walked in with our bellies empty ready to be filled. Unfortunately there was a bit of a wait for the Igloo and we were starving, so we sat inside in the warmth.
Seated by the window we had a great view of the igloos and tower bridge.
Food arrived shortly after my chai latte and was devoured within minutes! It was that good and inexpensive. I opted for the pancake stack and was not disappointed! The pancakes were light, fluffy and delicious which is everything a girl could ever want from a pancake stack 🙂
To walk off all that food we strolled across the bridge and took in the sites of cute little shops and ice cream carts.
Walking is a lot of hard work and it being cold, so of course we had to stop into Cafe Nero and sample their new Christmas hot chocolate menu. You know coz it’d be rude not too 😉
Why hello beautiful praline hot chocolate and double chocolate fudge cake! Yum!
All in all Sunday at Tower Bridge wasn’t bad at all and I hope to have a repeat soon! Have you spent Sunday at Tower Bridge before? Or tried Copacabana’s new igloo pop up? Let me know in the comments below!
As always thank you for reading and be sure to subscribe! I have got a few surprises coming up over the next couple of weeks 😉
Until next time, be well!
