4 Things You Need to Pack Lightly

4 things you need to help you pack lightly - majeang.com

Hello, beautiful people! Welcome back to the blog! I know we’ve all seen those aesthetic photos on social media with lots of the gucci suitcases at the airport or in the back of a car. The reality is that it can be stressful to carry so much luggage especially for a weekend break. So here are 4 things you need to pack lightly and still have all you need.

4 Things You Need to Pack Lightly

Compression Cubes

I’ve written about these before and I will continue to wax lyrical about them. Get yourself some compression cubes because it will make packing easier and lighter. They generally come in different sizes with 2sets of zips to compress the items inside them. I’ve been able to use them for a week long trip comfortably. I got mine from Amazon and they come in multiple colours so you can colour code if you’re into that.

Planning Outfits

Speaking of colour coding, another tip is for you to plan your outfits. Think about the things you’ve planned to do or, would like to do and pack accordingn to that. Also, consider the weather and the pieces that can be paired with different items. The key is to think about ways an item can be restyled multiple ways. Use pinterest to give you some inspiration and please try on the outfits before packing.

Multipurpose Skincare Products

You know I love skincare (if you don’t now you do) and multipurpose skincare products are *chefs kiss*. A multipurpose product is perfect for travelling because you can do so much with so little. Think of the moisturisers that can be used to prep, prime and give a shine to your face. The Welada Skin Food is excellent at that. I’ve also used it on my hands an feet after a long day walking around the streets of whatever country I’m in. For makeup, try a multipurpose concealer that not only conceals but, brightens and corrects. If you’re on a budget, try Maybelline Instant Anti Erase concealer and for mid range, Too Face Born This Way has got you covered.

Decanting

My final tip for things you need to pack lightly is to decant your products. Your favourite body oil or lotion can be decanted into 100ml bottles. The same goes for hair products and perfumes. This saves you space, allows you to save money and use what you already have. Thats a triple win if you ask me! If you’re in the UK Primark has travel sized containers, so does Muji, Amazon and Boots. You buy once, fill and reuse trip after trip.

These are the 4 things you need to pack lightly. Have I missed anything? Let me know in the comments. I’m always looking for ways to lighten the load.

Thank you for reading and until next time, be well!x
