Hello beauties! It has been a hot minute since I’ve been on here. Honestly, I’ve been struggling with what to post and if people still are interested in reading them. I got a bit of inspiration through my photography and decided to write something. We are starting with skincare and I’m sharing the 4 Korean skincare brands I always use. Korean skincare has been around for quite some time and focuses on caring for the skin. Ensuring hydration and building your skin barrier so generally the products are incredibly gentle.
4 Korean Skincare Brands I Always Use
Dr Jart
Let’s start off with an oldie but goodie. I am a huge fan of the Ceramidin range especially the cream mist. It’s an excellent way to quickly moisturise your skin during the cold and dry months. I like to take onboard a long-haul flight with me as the air dries out my skin. It gives a nice glow after applying. There’s also the cream and liquid toner that I purchase as a travel sized kit for weekend breaks.
Beauty of Joseon
I was highly influenced by Tiktok! The amount of videos that shared the glow serum with propolis and niacinamide which really gives your skin a glow. Of course I had to try it out and now I’m a little obsessed! The brand uses ingredients such as; rice, mung bean and Korean plum which are all gentle and alleviates dull looking skin. Beauty of Joseon has a full range of products including, cleansers, serums, spfs, essences and face masks. I’ve only tried the serums and recently purchased an spf. You can purchase products directly from the website or other suppliers like Stylevana.
Corsx
Another Tiktok influence are the snail mucin essence and moisturiser. This 2 products in combination with the glow serum mention above, gives that glass skin effect. The essence helps with dryness, irritation and dullness. This explains the glass skin effect you end up with. It also helps to fade dark spots, heal inflammation and improve texture on skin. I should mention here that it’s cruelty free, according to the website. The essence is applied after using a toner, if you use one and the moisturiser is the final step.
Thank You Farmer
The final Korean skincare brand I always use is from Thank You Farmer who has an amazing spf. I was searching for a lightweight yet effective sunscreen and found this brand. It doesn’t leave a white cast nor does it clog my pores. This is my 3rd summer of using this product and it remains a staple. It comes in spf 50 and I have travelled with it and had no spillage. You can read more about it here.
These are the 4 Korean skincare brands that I use, how about you? Have you tried any Korean skincare before? I’d love to know your thoughts in the comments below.
Thanks for reading and until next time, be well! X
