Hello, my travel giraffes how are you? If you’ve been a follower of mine for awhile, you would know I have a love for Italy (here and here). If you didn’t, now you know :). This post is all about the places in Italy I plan to visit so keep on reading if you share love for Italy.
Places in Italy I Plan to Visit
Cinque Terre
Ever since I saw that photo of Cinque Terre, I have always wanted to visited this place. Made up of 5 villages that is a part of a UNESCO World Heritage site. Riomaggiore, Manarola, Corniglia, Vernazza and Monterosso all form Cinque Terre, which means, The Five Lands. The beauty of this place is that cars have limited access and it seems every where is beautiful. I imagine as it’s quite a popular place that peak season will be heaving with tourists. Therefore, I will opt for that sweet spot between peak season and off season.
Florence
I’ve been to Florence before but, I didn’t get enough time to explore and will return in a second! One of the main reasons for me to return to Florence, apart from the food, is to explore Tuscany. I watched a movie called, Under The Tuscan Sun and fell in love with the scenery. I could picture myself walking through the hills, breathing in the fresh air. Plus there’s a place called Chianti. That alone is worth a visit. Don’t you think?
Bologna
Two hours train ride from Rome will find you in Bologna. I’m intrigued by it because it seems to be less touristy and with all the charm of the other Italian cities. From what I’ve heard and read about Bologna, you can pretty much visit and enjoy all the delicious Italian food in a weekend break. Plus BA and Easyjet fly there so it’s easily accessible.
Of course there are more places in Italy I plan to visit but, I think I’d start with these. Or do you think there are other places in Italy I should visit first? Let me know in the comments.
