Welcome back my fashion giraffes to another styling Saturday and today is all about styling pleated skirts. The pleated skirt trend has been around for quite some time and I wasn’t sure about it but I decided to get out of my comfort zone.
Styling Pleated Skirts
This skirt I bought ages ago from Asos and loved it because not only was it gold but there’s an undertone of green.
Style it Up!
With the pleated skirt being such a statement piece I decided to keep the rest of the outfit very simple. A black v-neck thin knit jumper from Primark to keep the cold at bay. Fishnet stockings add a bit of a different texture and sex appeal. Finally, I wore some patent ankle boots from Zara that I got in the sale for £5.99! Can this trini girl find a bargain or what!?
I loved how this look came together because all the different textures came together cohesively and it didn’t look too much.
For an alternative look, you can add a crisp white shirt and drop the skirt to your hips. Add a vibrant pair of shoes with matching accessories. I can’t wait to restyle this skirt for you over the spring and summer time, so keep a lookout for it!
Tip: Get a size bigger so it drops to your hips and gives an effortless look.
I would love to know, how you would style this pleated skirt? Let me know in the comments below.
As always thanks for commenting and reading. Don’t forget to subscribe to stay up to date.
