Hello my lovelies how are we this week? It’s hard to believe that we’re still in January! It feels like it’s 91 days instead of 31. Even though it has been a long month, it did get me thinking about how to spend quality time with family and friends. We live in a very fast paced world and can get sucked into the digital world that we can sometimes forget our real family and friends. So I thought I would share some tips on how to get that quality time in.
How to Spend Quality Time with Family and Friends
Monthly Pizza Nights
Most of us love pizza because it’s a pie of goodness and there’s a pizza combination for everybody. Yes, that includes you, my lovely vegan friends 🙂
It’s the perfect opportunity to spend time with your friends or family and just catch up. Play some music, watch a tv series on Netflix (hello The Originals) or, watch Charlize Theron kick butt in Atomic Blonde. For something that everyone can enjoy, Pure Flix has a good selection of family-friendly movies. Whatever you do decide to watch or listen to, make it fun, comfy and pizza filled.
Pick Up the Phone
It’s pretty easy to text or Whatsapp message a quick hello but nothing beats a phone call. I cannot tell you how much I enjoy catching up on the phone with my bff and mother. Messages can be misinterpreted whereas, hearing someone’s voice tells you so much. It also makes you feel like you’re a part of each other’s lives even if you’re miles apart. So pick up the phone.
Brunch
My final tip on how to spend quality time with family and friends is to go out for some brunch. I say brunch because it’s not too early and you can have alcohol if you want too.
A relaxed and social environment outside of the home can change the flow of conversations to something that’s more uplifting. Plus it interrupts the regular humdrum of life.
