5 Things I Will Improve in 2022

5 things I will improve in 2022

Happy New Year beautiful! How are you? I know it’s been a hot minute but how was the holiday season for you? For me, I went away for the first time in almost 2 years. It was part holiday and part photography work in Dubai and Sri Lanka and yes I will do a blog post or 3 for you ;). In light of it being a new year, I thought I would share 5 things I will improve in 2022. Don’t worry it’s not a ‘new year new me’ ish post.

5 Things I will Improve in 2022

Health

First things first, health is wealth which was proven time and time again during the last couple of years. I’m not a gym bunny, kudos to you if you are. I however, enjoy a variety of exercises in short bursts from the comfort of my home. This is why I’m a fan of using workout videos or apps, like Centr Fitness by Chris Hemsworth. For my physical health I will be working out regularly and with a purpose. I feel better when I workout and that is what I will focus on instead of trying to fit into a dress. Another thing I’m doing in relation to my health is adopting a ‘let it go’ mindset. If something cannot be fixed or improved then I let it go. No longer will I be stressing myself out needlessly over things I have no control over. It’s pointless and a waste of my time and energy. This goes for people, jobs and things.

Savings

After losing my job in 2020 and being unemployed for about a year, the little bit of savings I had took a hit. Now that I’m working, I will be looking at rectifying that. Savings challenges are a great way for me to get into the swing of things. The penny savings challenge is excellent because you don’t initially feel that you’re saving. It’s only a penny after all! Also, buying stocks and shares to diversify my portfolio whilst building a nest egg for when it’s time to retire. No one like to think about it but, retirement comes at you real fast.

Learning

Learning is something I truly enjoy doing. Each year I either chose something new or, continue on from the previous year. This year it will be something related to photography and maybe something obscure, like pottery. There’s an Instagrammer, I can’t recall her name, who does pottery and it looks so calming yet creative. If you had to take a class, where money was no object, what would you do? Let me know in the comments below.

My Business

If you didn’t know, I decided to switch careers and become a Freelance Photographer. I work part time so I can pursue this passion of mine. You can check out my website here. Anways, I have decided that 2022 will be the make or break year. I’m going to put my all into building my business and hopefully it will flourish. If not, this time next year will be a different blog post.

My Skin

As a self confessed skin junkie I’ve been dealing with a skin condition and it’s gotten the better of me. There’s been an ongoing battle with me and seborrheic dermatitis for a number of years. This year, I am going to come up with a plan to finally get it under control. Honestly, it makes me feel self conscious and one of the reasons I don’t enjoy being in front of the camera. So let’s how it goes.

These are my 5 things I will improve in 2022, how about you? What things will you be working on this year and how will achieve them? Let me know in the comments and let’s all support each other.

Thank you for reading and until next time, be well! x
