Welcome back to the blog lovely! How has the week been treating you? It’s almost the end of September and before we know it, it’ll be Christmas. Whilst I do enjoy the festivities I am still pinning for summer. Tell me you’re an island girl through and through :). I decided to revive my hotel lust list because it’s good to have aspirations and see what unique hotels are out there. If you haven’t read them before, you can catch up here, here and here. However, today you can read all about my lust hotel of september 2021 featuring Chateau Eza.

Lust Hotel of September 2021 featuring Chateau Eza

History

Chateau Eza is located in the Côte d’ Azur in the 1000 year old medieval village of Eze. The hotel is actually 400 years old and used to be the summer residence of a Prince William of Sweden. In 1976 Swiss owner Andre Rochat decided to modernise the chateau which of course wasn’t an easy feat. The village has long, steep and winding streets, something I can attest to when I visited Eze Village. The best way to bring the materials to undertaken the renovation was by utilising donkeys. The donkeys would take the construction materials needed up the hill which is 1300 feet above sea level.

The Chateau

The chateau only has 14 rooms and suites which gives it an intimate atmosphere. Some of the suites come with their own private balconies and terraces. You can imagine being 1300 feet above the sea how spectacular the views would be. Some of the accommodation has either views of the mountains, the Mediterranean sea or both.

The room decor is as you would expect from a 400 year old chateau in a medieval village. Very opulent and luxe looking with a touch of the modern world, especially in the bathrooms. Even the standard room is very plush.

Amenities

Apart from providing beautiful rooms and suites, there’s also a restaurant on site. Of course it’s not just any restaurant, it’s a whole gourmet experience. There’s a gourmet package promotion for 1 night that includes dinner and breakfast for 2 people from 675 euros. The hotel can arrange anything you might need for an enjoyable stay. Some of the things they can arrange include; babysitting services, car or helicopter services, boat hire and more! If you’d like to go into Monaco which isn’t that far away, the staff can arrange a car with driver to take you around.

Pricing

So this being a boutique luxury hotel in the south of France, you know that it isn’t going to be budget friendly. With that being said, it isn’t as painful to the pocket as you would expect. If you travel off-peak, which would be between Jan to Mar you could spend approximately £187 per night via *Agoda. This is the price for solo or 2 people. You could also peruse Booking.com and see if there are any special genius offers on.

Final Thoughts

I like the history of the Chateau Eza especially as you can fully explore Eze Village and take in the beautiful views. Also I really like that part of France which I would love to explore some more. It’s beautiful and has a lot to see and do whilst you’re there. It isn’t as expensive as I thought it would be but it’s still pricey. This is the kind of place I would stay at for a special ocassion such as a birthday or perhaps I wanted to celebrate a wonderful year in my career. It’s special and also unique. What do you think?

Thank you for reading this post on my lust hotel of September 2021 featuring Chateau Eza. I would love to know what you think about this as a series. Also, what hotel would you like me to feature next?

Until next time, be well! x
