While there’s a few months left before that happens in the UK, take a look at these exciting adventures to add to your bucket list when travel restrictions ease.

Visit the Colosseum

Rome’s great gladiatorial arena, one of the Seven Wonders of the World, is the most thrilling of the city’s ancient sights. The Colosseum, also known as the Flavian Amphitheatre, is a splendid example of Roman engineering and architecture. It is the world’s largest amphitheater and has hosted some of history’s bloodiest and most violent battles. Delve deep into the history of Rome with a breathtaking yet haunting visit to the Colosseum. Having visited the colosseum before, I can safely say that you need to add this to your bucketlist.

Trek to Machu Picchu

For many tourists, a journey to Peru’s abandoned city of the Incas is a dream trip. Machu Picchu is an Inca citadel located 2,430 meters above sea level on a mountain. It can be reached through mountain trails or a train ride through the Urubamba River valley. Machu Picchu, is one of the best places to visit in the world and one of the most visited tourist destinations in South America. It is sure to exceed travelers’ expectations.

Be intrigued by Stonehenge

One of the world’s wonders and most well-known prehistoric monuments, situated near Salisbury, England. Stonehenge, as we know it today, was built between 5,000 and 4,000 years ago as part of a sacred landscape. When I first moved to the UK, many sunsets ago. Friends took me on a day out to Stonehenge as a birthday present. Its one of those places that you visit to get an understanding of the history.

Hike the Grand Canyon

The Grand Canyon, another one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World and is situated in the high desert of northern Arizona (USA). It will take your breath away with its vast, ever-changing scenery. Grand Canyon is one of the most spectacular landscapes in the world. It has trees, painted deserts, sandstone canyons, Colorado River, and waterfalls. Grand Canyon helicopter tours are an incredible way to see the national park’s breathtaking scenery. It was something that I missed out on seeing when I went to Vegas a few years ago. Hopefully, when travel restrictions ease I will be able to visit.
