Plan Your Day

Any routine starts with a plan, so have a plan. You don’t need to be detailed nor do you need to plan your day to the last hour. Have highlights of things you would like to do each day. It could be that you’re going to put laundry on. Or, if you’re working from home, you’d like regular breaks so you can stretch or play with your kids. Or, you may want to plan your Netflix watching schedule. Your daily routine is yours to create and have fun!

Make it Easy for You

A routine doesn’t need to require a Masters in Neurology. This is your routine, which means you can do whatever the hell you want to do. Make it easy and filled with stuff that you actually want to do. There’s no point in putting pressure on yourself to continuously include things that fill you with dread.

Have Fun with it

We are in a pandemic which can be quite depressing and scary however, you can have fun. Yes, you can have fun with your daily routine during lockdown. I’ll show you how. Let’s say you want to watch 3 episodes of your favourite Netflix TV series. But you have to clean the house. Chunk down all your chores into bite sized actions and intersperse them with episodes of your show.

That’s how to have a healthy routine during lockdown. You can apply these tips to healthy eating, exercising or anything else in your life. Have you had to put a routine in place? Are you enjoying it? Let me know in the comments below.
