7 ways to feel good after a crappy day- majeang.com

Hello beauties! How are you doing? Today’s post is all about those bad, crappy days we all have. I’m sharing 7 ways to feel good after a crappy day because it might just help you get over the day. I know it has helped me in the past, so these are tried and tested tips.

7 Ways to Feel Good After a Crappy Day

Long Shower

This isn’t the time to be soaking in a tub, you need water beating down on your head. It sounds strange but there’s something therapeutic about water falling on your head. It’s the same effect you get when your hairdresser gives you a head massage. Heavenly! Whilst you’re in the shower give yourself a good body scrub. Not only will your skin be glowing but it will make you feel good.

Read a Book

After a shower, you can wrap yourself up in a lovely robe and settle down with a good book. Nothing too taxing but still engages you, makes you laugh and suspend your troubles for a bit. I’ve found that reading inspires some new ideas and thoughts. A bit like this post! 😉

Take a Nap

My next tip in this list of 7 ways to feel good after a crappy day is to take a nap. Life can be a bit overwhelming and a nap can be the perfect thing to help you feel better. You feel rested, more focused and you may even realise that the crappy day is nothing. A nap can also give you time to solve a problem unconsciously. I vote for regular naps.

Something Delicious

Nothing gives me greater pleasure than to eat some delicious food. I’ve been to a few places where the food was absolutely sublime. Or, if you don’t want to go out (it me), then deliveroo is my friend. A delicious lasagne from Carluccio’s or some macaroni pie with stew chicken. Whatever your dish is, dish up and dig in. It’s comforting and who doesn’t want their tastebuds to dance!

Fresh Air

I’m a big believer in getting fresh air to help alleviate your mood. This is despite me sometimes wanting to hibernate. Being outside even if it’s to sit in your garden or porch for a few minutes, can make all the difference. That crappy day rolls away in the wind.

Get Sweaty

Walk, run, go to the gym, workout at home or sign up for a class. Get your body moving! Physically you not only feel better but emotionally it helps you with releasing endorphins. I remember going to a reformer pilates class after a crappy day at work. The difference it made to my mood was a wonderful feeling. I felt so much better.

Touch

Touch is one of the most underrated aspects of the human experience. Hug a loved, yourself included. As human beings we need to have human touch to thrive and survive. A baby’s development is stunted without human touch. It’s one of the ways to feel good because it helps us to connect, feel seen and secure.
