Hello, my lovely giraffes. How has your September been so far? Can you believe we’re almost half-way through the month already? Life is really like a roll of toilet paper. Comment below if you get it 🙂

Anyway, I had an opportunity to go to a Mexican celebration awhile ago and thought I would share it with you. Mestizo is a Mexican restaurant that also has a market next door. Read on whilst I share my appreciation for all things Mexican and the Mestizo Mexican Market.

The Mestizo Mexican Market

Located a stone’s throw away from Euston station, the Mestizo Mexican Market is next door to the Mestizo bar and restaurant.

The Market

The market is a foodie, interior and traveller’s paradise. Filled with authentically made items direct from Mexico you can fill your belly, house, and eyes to your heart’s content.

The event was to showcase the beauty that comes from Mexico and how we in London can get our hands on them. That is, without getting on a plane and going to Mexico. Although I have to say, I wouldn’t mind doing just that, since it’s been on my travel bucket list for some time.

The Food and Drink

At the event we got to sample some of the delicious food you could purchase at the Mestizo Mexican Market and if you want to have the full experience, you could reserve a table at the restaurant. The owner is vegetarian so for any of you vegetarians and vegans out there, she’s got you covered! If you’re into spicy food then you’re in for a treat with their peppers. They come in varying degrees of heat so there’s something for everyone.

When you think of Mexico you automatically think tequila! Well, I do at least. Some of the best tequila comes from Mexico. Jose anyone? Anyway, you can purchase your tequila in store and drink neat or, make a margarita with it. Trust me it’s delicious and packs a powerful punch.

At the end of the evening, we were treated to some traditional Mexican dancers who delighted and enticed the crowd. For a moment we were all transported to Mexico and I have to say it was pretty amazing.
