Tips to Deal with Life When it Becomes Overwhelming

Hello, my lovelies. How are you all the start of this week? I’ve been noticing lately that life can become pretty overwhelming. So, I thought I would share my tips to deal with life when it becomes overwhelming.

I’m not expert here but who knows maybe it will help someone out there who needs it. Remember to share and signup to the newsletter.

Tips to Deal with Life When it Becomes Overwhelming

Pause

When you’re in the midst of a storm in your life, all you want to do is get off and press pause. I’ve had that feeling many times and whilst I couldn’t pause it in the true sense of the word, I could get off the treadmill for a bit. I would take 5-10 minutes in the morning and then in the afternoon to just breathe deeply. You can read about breathing better here. If I’m at work I would go out at lunchtime for a brisk walk. This works wonders if you’re near a park or just greenery. Nature is one of the best healers.

Tips to Deal with Life When it Becomes Overwhelming- take a break

Take a Break

My next tip to deal with life when it becomes overwhelming is to take a break. This is different from pausing. Taking a break is longer than 10 minutes. It means utilising your time off to do something for yourself, whether it’s getting your nails done, visiting somewhere local or that you’ve always wanted to visit or, just reading your favourite book in a coffee shop. Or my favourite, book a flight somewhere new. You deserve to take a break.

Check-in

Just like you need to check-in for your flights, you need to do the same for yourself. Are you aware that there’s a conversation going on in your head? Do you know that it goes on in the background? Maybe it’s time that you listened in on what you’re saying to yourself. It might be that some of the overwhelm you’re experiencing is caused by what you’re thinking.

Now, what about you? Do you have any tips to deal with life when it becomes overwhelming? Let me know if any that I have helps you.

As always, thank you for reading and remember to sign-up for the newsletter. It’s free! 🙂

Until next time, be well!
