Changes I’m Making to Improve Physical Health

Oh hello there! Hope you had a lovely weekend and that Monday was gentle on you. One of my resolutions I had for myself this year was to clean up my diet and get physically strong. As a woman in her late 30s, you realise that your body doesn’t snap back as it used to. So suddenly that extra half a stone (7 lbs) you used to brush off easily, is no longer so easy to get rid of. So, I thought I would share with you the changes I’m making to improve physical health.

Changes I’m Making to Improve Physical Health

Exercise

We all know that exercise is good for you. It can be going hardcore at the gym or, simply walking for more than 10 minutes every day or, going for a hike. I’ve joined the gym and have committed to going twice a week. Once I’ve gotten into a routine I will look at joining a kizomba class.

Side note: ladies don’t be afraid of the weights area especially if you want a toned back.

Saying No to Chocolate

Okay let me clarify here, I won’t be saying a complete no to chocolate because that would make me miserable. There are very few vices in my life and chocolate happens to be one of them. What I will do is curb that chocolate train and consume less. The sugar addiction is real! I won’t say no to some Lindt or Thorntons chocolate though šŸ™‚

Healthy Snacking

Some other changes I’m making to improve my physical health is to get into healthy snacking. I have already started by adding nuts and dried fruit into my diet. The other healthy snack that I would like to try is some skinny popcorn. There’s one by Skinnypop that I found and it ticks all the boxes; gluten-free, high in fibre and comes in a sea salt flavour. So if you see someone in Costa or Co-op with an armload of Skinnypop, don’t judge!

Side note: if you find nuts expensive check out your local Lidl or Aldi šŸ˜‰

Those are the realistic and manageable changes I’m making to improve physical health. What about you? You know I’m always looking for suggestions. Let me know in the comments below.

That’s all from me today and until next time, be well!
