Changes on Work in Progress

Changes on www.majeang.com

Hello peeps, how has the start of the week been treating you so far? I always think that Monday’s get a bad wrap, just because it signifies the weekend has ended. Poor Monday :(. We look forward to the weekend like an Apple addict waited for Iphone 7 to drop ;). Today’s post is all about the changes I am making on Work in Progress and the reasons behind it. You my readers are incredibly important and have been my main focus.

Changes on www.majeang.com

When I first started this blog, it was essentially used to help me through a very difficult break up. A way to express myself through the grief that these transitions can bring. As time went by it evolved into something else, something more and the blog needed to reflect this. One of my core principles in life is to help others, I suppose be of service if you like. The changes I have made and continue to make, will hopefully reflect that.

The Process

Making changes is a process that isn’t always easy but to grow and thrive it needs to be done. So I started to improve (I hope) my photography and the quality of content. These two aspects are key and are ever evolving, especially the quality of content. One of the things that came up for me around content is to streamline it. I cover a wide range of topics within fashion, travel and lifestyle and this can be a bit confusing to the reader. To combat this lifestyle posts will be on a Monday; travel on Thursdays and fashion on Saturdays. This is so you my lovely readers know exactly what you’re getting and when. If you don’t see a post on any of those days, it’s because I didn’t have anything worthwhile to share. Posting stuff just for the sake of it, isn’t what this blog is about or who I am.

The Look

I also changed up the look a few times until I felt it reflected the growth of the blog, as well as mine. Having an aesthetically pleasing blog is important, because no one likes a ‘noisy’ looking blog. I want you to want to come back, get informed, laugh, cry and be inspired by what you see and read. Simplicity always work particularly when you’re making changes, so that’s what I’ve done. Moving forward, I hope you benefit from your experience with Work in Progress, because these changes are really about you and for you.

I would love to know your thoughts on the changes I’ve made, in the comments below. Or if you have any suggestions for future blog posts.

As always, thank you for reading and don’t forget to subscribe.

Until next time, be well!

x
