How spontaneous are you?

Hello my lovelies it’s that beautiful time of year when the weekend meets a bank holiday…thank the Lord! Hope you have enjoyed and still are enjoying the 3 day weekend we have at the start of May. I know May! Where the heck did March and Aprl go?! Soon it’ll be jingle bells and Christmas…eek! When I think about fast time is passing by I realise how important it is to be in the moment and just be spontaneous or life will pass you by. Not the planned ‘I will be spontaneous today’ but the ‘see an opportunity so take it’ kind. These kind of moments are the foundation of great, outrageous, i-cant-believe-it-so-glad-i-did-it memories and stories.

How spontaneous are you?

This is the kind of spontaneous moments that occured with my friends and I. Eurostar had one of their sales on and we booked cheap return train tickets for the day to Paris. We took the early morning train and arrived at Gare du Nord station at 11.15am Paris time and proceeded to spend a fantastic day walking along the River Seine and took in the majestic view of the Eiffel Tower.

When we had our eyes filled, we hopped back on the train and were whisked back to St Pancras station with everyone being home before 8pm. Sidenote: we missed our first train, but the lovely customer service attendant changed our tickets without there being any fuss. Thank you!

Now we have memories from our day (and a new handbag ;)) that no one can ever take away. It’s experiences like this that makes me feel alive and very grateful for such opportunities. I realise that we live in a world that’s not just or fair and such spontaneous opportunities aren’t to be taken for granted.

So tell me, how spontaneous are you? Let me know in the comments below.

Until next time, be well

x
