I know, I know it’s weeks away but let’s face it, just like the Summer sped by so quickly 2016 will be upon us. In light of this, I thought I would throw out a few suggestions on what you can wear for New Year’s eve.
Usually it boils down to a) where you’re going and b) what you feel comfortable in. I mean looking cute is great but not at the expense of being uncomfortable…because that ain’t cute! 😉
To begin, I thought of the woman who isn’t into dresses or skirts but still wanted to look fly! Naturally, the jumpsuit came to mind. I’m a huge fan of the jumpsuit because you can dress it up or down. Plus like dresses, it’s only one piece which to me is a win-win situation. I found 2 options that I thought would suit most body types…
Option 1 would be for a more casual event such as a house party or perhaps you’re throwing one for you and a few of your friends. Throw on some metallic shoulder duster earrings with bright lipstick and you’ve got yourself a hostess with the mostest look.
Option 2, would be for going out dancing or to a dinner on NYE. However, I would forget about the black shoes and go for gold sparkly strappy sandals like the ones below. You are celebrating the end of 2015 after all!
For my girlies out there who love their dresses and want a more feminine feel I have you covered…
This Chi Chi London dress is sold at Dorothy Perkins (currently on sale) is so feminine with the heart shaped cutouts. The nipped in waist and slight flare gives you the illusion of an hour glass figure if you don’t have one, or enhances it if you do have one.
If your style is more Audrey Hepburn from Breakfast at Tiffany’s then perhaps this Miss Selfridge jacquard number will be for you. The colours are festive and keeping with the season. If you’d like to toughen up the look, you can add some ankle boots.
Next options are for those of you who love to go all out so if sequins and sparkles are the things that make you happy, then this is for you.
This Missguided number screams NYE if you hadn’t noticed ;). A simple cut maxi dress in gold sequinned fabric will flatter just about any body shape. If the dress sweeps the floor then I wouldn’t be overly worried about shoes just keep it simple along with your accessories.
If you’re into mini dresses then TFNC has this fabulous sequined dress that may be right up your alley.
Well that’s all from me today. I hope it has been helpful and given you some inspiration. Let me know in the comments below what you’re doing for the end of year and what you’re thinking of wearing.
Until next time be well x
