Styling Monochrome and Silver

Happy Saturday my fashion giraffes. Hope you had a lovely week and welcome back to another styling Saturday post. This week’s look is styling monochrome and silver. When you think about the elements of this look, it’s pretty simple but there’s something chic about it.

Styling Monochrome and Silver

Sometimes all black for me can be a bit dreary especially in the winter. I know, all black is chic but I like a bit of colour or something unusual like the texture or in this case, adding silver boots. Hence, the title styling monochrome and silver šŸ˜‰

These boots are Gucci inspired and featured on the last styling Saturday post but I wanted to add that chic element to it.

Checked Coat

Apart from the all-black ensemble which is pretty basic in of itself; jeans and roll neck jumper, I felt something was missing so I threw on my checked coat and voila! The coat pulled the look together and if I wanted to give it a different look, I could add a red belt instead of including the red bag.

This coat is an old favourite of mine but there are so many variations on the market now from high street to high end, as it seems to be the trend that keeps on giving. You can check out these here, here and here.

I loved putting this look together, not only because of it’s simplicity but, also because it utilised items I already had in my wardrobe. Styling creatively is using what you already have in different ways.

So what did you think this look? Let me know in the comments below.
