Things we take for granted

things we take for granted

Have you ever sat on a train or bus and overhear conversations? Not that you’re eavesdropping because it’s a small space and you can’t help but overhear. It’s usually someone calling to tell a loved one that they’re on their way home. Or they’re on the train and to pick them up at so and so station. Or catching up with an old friend. I wonder if these people realise how lucky they are to have that? Have you ever thought about the fact that not everyone has a ‘someone’ or person to call?

In a world of billions it is very easy to feel lonely, I know I do, so just imagine if you don’t have someone waiting home for you or no one to call. Sucks doesn’t it? This isn’t a pointing finger post, it’s just a gentle reminder that we’re all in this world trying to figure things out the best way we know how and contrary to popular belief, we do need each other and we can take that for granted. There’s the expectation that the way things are will always remain, which isn’t true. Ask someone who lost their loved one, job or home.

The little things matter a lot more than we realise and in this fast paced world we live in, it’s easy to take each other for granted. It starts off simple enough; not saying please or thank you, expecting that person to always be available for you or being upset when the weather changes etc. etc. It’s really easy to fall down the slippery slope, so keep an eye out for it 😉

So the next time you’re texting or calling your loved take a moment and remember how fortunate you are, thank the heavens for it and thank them!

Let me take this opportunity to say that I appreciate you all for reading, commenting and liking my posts. You all encourage and push me to create better content.

Until next time be well x

This is so true. We all need a reminder now and again how lucky we are. I literally just had a similar conversation with my dad as we’ve had a lot of tragedy this year. Life will always bring low times which makes it all the more important to be grateful for what you have.

Yes we need a reminder once in awhile. So sorry to hear about your loss my dear. Life is equally mysterious, cruel and kind x
